Panagia Hozoviotissa

This Monastery, resting on the side of a cliff, was built early in the second millennium to protect a religious icon, and is still an operating monastery today with three monks still in residence.

It's an awe-inspiring place to visit, for it's location, beauty, and energy. It's 300 "donkey" steps to get up there, and worth every one.

Herbal Distillery

A trip to the nearby village of Langada to visit Vangelis & Eleni's distillery. We learn how the island's abundance of herbs are cultivated and distilled to create essential oils, tonics, tea, creams and other products, both for medicinal and cosmetic purposes. Vangelis is a master at his craft, and a healer. There is so much we learn from him.
